| Who is Pug Rescue? |
BARBARA McNAIR, M.A. - Board President - member of PRSDC since 1994. Barbara has served as president since 1996. Owned by a preponderance of Pugs and one Pug wanna-be. After a long career with Pacific Bell, she has retired from her position as the Executive Director of the East County Council on Aging, and now serves as the Chair of the Foster Granparent Advisory Council for Catholic Charities of San Diego. Barbara loves animals and working with PRSDC. She also enjoys travel, books and StarbucksTM!
SUZI SCHUTZMAN - Adoptions and Medical Administrator - member of PRSDC since 2000. Suzi and
her two children currently care for special needs only pugs. Her current residents are Sato, China,
Hatch, and Munchkin and any other revolving special needs Pug/s. Working full time for Cox
Communications, she spends most of her free time with her family and grandson, Zachary, and, of
course, Pug Rescue adoptions.
JACKI MILAZZO - Secretary - member of PRSDC since 1998 - Jacki and her husband, Tom have
rescued many dogs and currently have 2 rescued Pugs, Bonnie and Doug. She spends time working on
the Pug Rescue Website and is semi retired, working part time at a local retirement community.
STEVE LAXNER - Treasurer - member of PRSDC since 1996. Steve started to volunteer for PRSDC
when he fell in love with his first Pug "Foca." He has fostered many Pugs and became Treasurer in
2003. "Gump," his long-term foster Pug owns him. He lives at the Villages of La Mesa and is the
Assistant Manager of this pet friendly community. He enjoys music, movies, and gardening in
addition to his love of all animals.
DAVID E. WILKINS - Vice Pres of Adminstration - A pug lover since the day his parents brought
home their first pug (a rescue pug) at the age of 8. He has been owned by a three footed
rescue pug named Dempsey and a wild-go-lucky pug named Sailor-Girl. As
a government Electronic System Engineer for our U.S. Navy, David helps our
sailors/marines with their communications problems. David's favorite
motto: When All Else Fails "Hug A Pug".
KIM AUGUSTINE - Membership Director - member of PRSDC since May 2006. Kim has a 1 year old
Pug named Frankie and an 8 year old Lab named Cheyenne, the loves of her life. Kim works full time
for Computer Science Corporation and in her spare time spends time with family, going to movies
and anything that involves being around animals. Kim is one of our most faithful foster Moms and has
been instrumental in the rehabilitation of many fortunate Pugs.
JAIME SHEA - Volunteer and May Party Vendor Coordinator - Jaime met PRSDC in 2000 with her
first pugs Moe and Cubby, attending events and becoming a PRSDC member. In October, 2007, she began
to regularly volunteer with PRSDC and has since joined our Board. Now Jaime and her family are madly
in love with their very spoiled pugs Elvis and Jacqui. She works as a Human Resources Consultant,
spreads pug love wherever she can and enjoys her family, Netflix and quiet nights at home in her rare
spare moments.
