Description:
You are going to fall in love with Rocket. Rocket loves people and people love Rocket! You won’t be able to walk down the street without strangers asking you to pet Rocket or take his picture. He brightens the world wherever he goes with his personality and cute little face (yes, his tongue stays out of his mouth!)

Do you want a dog who loves everyone he meets? Rocket is sweet, happy, and social and he loves all people and children. Are you searching for a pug who is laid back and interested in walks and new adventures? Rocket is your dog. He is active and loves walks, dogs, cats, and children! So far Rocket has been to the beach and he absolutely loves the water, infact, nothing seems to phase him! He is well mannered and polite around other dogs and pets, he is even kind and gentle with shy and senior dogs.

The vet diagnosed Rocket with a moderate food allergy and he will have to be on a special diet of food that can be purchased from the vet. As of right now he will need to continue this special food diet throughout his life. His allergy may be protein, gluten or plant based, and further testing would be needed to discern where the exact allergy stems from. Rocket can only eat the special dog food from now on.

The food allergy has made him prone to ear infections, bladder issues, and stomach pain. His stomach is currently sensitive to the touch and he currently has an active urinary tract infection and active ear infection that we are treating with antibiotics. Further testing would be needed to determine whether the food allergy is causing these exact ailments, but for now the vet believes that the food allergy is causing these current problems. Further assessment and testing should be conducted to rule out any exact cause of stomach pain and urinary issues.

Rocket was diagnosed with moderate arthritis and will need to take one pain medication, prescribed only by the vet once a day for the rest of his life. His arthritis will progress with age and will affect his mobility as he gets older.

Rocket would do well in a house with other dogs as he is very friendly and loves to play. Rocket deserves a family who is going to go out of their way to make his life special, he really just wants to be by your side and make you happy all day. He loves snuggles and cuddles and will fall asleep in your lap. He equally loves being active and enjoying walks with his family. He especially loves a big soft bed to nap on.

Rocket has come a long way with potty training, but still has days when he will pee or poo in home. That includes after a walk (sometimes he will come in from a walk and pee/mark). Rocket needs a family who can help trim his physique so he can continue the active lifestyle he loves.

Due to his loving nature and adventurous spirit Rocket has bonded quickly with his foster family and it is hard to let him go, but they know he needs to find his forever family. Rocket's foster family instantly fell in love with him. So will you.

If you are looking for your special pug who needs a little extra care, one who will change your life forever, then Rocket is for you!
