Description:
12-yr old beauty queen is in search of a kind human to share her golden years.

Ella is truly a beautiful girl, full of smiles and enthusiasm – VERY food motivated. We call her the Treat-Seeking-Missile because she will run over/through/past anyone and anything when she knows there’s a treat on the line. It is difficult to tell that this lady is a senior; she acts more like a young puggy.

Miss Ella has Pug Myelopathy, which is a neurological disorder that cannot be reversed. This affects the motor skills in her back half. She’s like a ballerina who’s had a little too much champagne, gracefully wobbly. It also means that she has problems with the bathroom. Right now, she does well with urination, but she can’t tell when she needs to make a bowel movement. So when she has to go, she just goes, and it’s as much a surprise to her as anyone. With a good diet on a regular schedule, she has a surprise poo about twice a day (morning and evening). In our opinion, cleaning up poop a couple times a day is totally worth the love and joy this little girl gives.

This darling diva was an only dog for most of her life, but she’s learning to share the spotlight. Ella gets along well with her dog brother and is learning how much interest in her cat friends is considered appropriate. She does great on her daily walks, tucks right into bed at bedtime, and loves a little lap-time cuddle.
