Description: This is Spike Lee! Spike comes to Pug Rescue from a family that could no longer care for him. He does have some medical issues, and we are sorting out the best way to treat them.Spike has a history of calcium carbonate stones, and has had surgery for them in the past. He also seems to have some food allergies. We are working diligently to figure out the best course of treatment and care for Spike, because he is a wonderful, loving dog and deserves the best. Spike gets along great with other dogs, is crate trained, and while he is potty trained, he is currently on meds that make him very thirsty, so he's been drinking lots and has had some accidents. Moving has been stressful for him, and he is doing better now that he is getting comfortable with the routines in his foster home. He has a soft, plush coat, and loves to cuddle, so he will surely make a loving addition to any family. If you're interested in meeting this great guy, contact us. Also, watch here for updates on his medical conditions, as updates will be posted as we learn more about what his prognosis is and what his needs are. Update, we thought Spike Lee had found his forever home, but the kitties there did not like him, so he is still available. |
| New Beginning: Spike is doing wonderfully in his new home. His new owners say that he is just amazing and settling in well with his new pug brother Odie who follows him around everywhere. They think Odie might even be learning how to be a better pug just by watching how well behaved Spike is, we wish them the best! |
