Medical condition: Some arthritis |
Description: Little Lola comes to Pug Rescue from the shelter in Hesperia. Poor girl has such a bad ear infection that she is tilting her head to the side. We are hopeful that once the infection is cleared up - she is on meds for it - that the head tilt will go away. If not, it certainly gives her a darling, quizzical look! Lola gets along well with other dogs, but she is a bit timid and shy when meeting new people, likely a side effect of being in the shelter for a while. Once she knows that you just want to pet her, she becomes a super snuggly love bug! She also likes to give big kisses to her friends. We don't know much about Lola's past, being that she came from the shelter, but we sure hope that she has a bright future. Lola is currently being treated for her ear infection, and also for a Urinary Tract Infection. She is scheduled to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned on July 1st. She does walk a bit funny, our vets suspect she has a bit of arthritis and perhaps luxating patellas - which means her knees slip a little. She's doing great in her foster home though, and we think with some more TLC she will have many comfortable years left to give her new family kisses. Lola will be attending the Pug K on June 26th at Tidelands Park in Coronado if you are interested in meeting her. Or if you can't make the Pug K, contact us and we'll arrange for you to meet this sweet girl. Little Lola is excited to meet her new forever family! Update 7/18/10 - Lola is doing so much better! She is thriving in her foster home, and her ear infection is almost cleared up. The head tilt is going away, and we are pretty certain that once it's gone completely she will hold her head straight again. She adores her foster mom, and comes over regularly for snuggling and loving! She is a waggy, sweet little girl, and is just hoping to find her forever family soon! |
| New Beginning: Lola met her new mom at this year's Pride Parade! Lola is going to be very spoiled and very, very loved. We are so happy for this sweet girl! |
