Elmer is an amazing bear of a pug. He found himself a stray on the streets and was picked up by animal control. PRSDC rescued immediately and placed him in foster care. He was in rough shape, with kennel cough, severe dry eye that had damaged his vision, and skin allergies long left untreated...and with advanced dental disease.
After aggressive treatment from our awesome vets, his tear production improved a bit and we were able to proceed with his neuter and dental. He is fully recovered, eating like a champ, and loving life.
Elmer is a large framed boy with the most majestic neck ruff you have ever seen. He loves everyone he meets and is doing great in his foster families pack with dogs, large and small, male and female. He is also comfortable in the company of cats, goats and kids.
Elmer has limited vision, but after a day or two in his very busy foster home, he had the lay of the land and was using the dog door like a pro. This beautiful boy deserves a loving family that will take pleasure in his spunky, loving personality...and cherish his survivor's spirit.
